Summary of The book of”Bullshit Jobs”

“Summary of the book ” Bullshit Jobs

David Graeber has many books in different sectors that teach us various lessons. Bullshit Jobs is a book that is written by David Graeber is the most significant book that tackles different points of view. Let’s have a look at some of them

: The content of the book Bullshit Jobs

-Into the book of Bullshit Jobs: Graeber opens with detailing the proliferation of jobs where the workers  themselves admit their work is meaningless for society

 – David Graeber is political where there is no call for politics, and philosophically & mathematically isuues

-The categorization of the different types of “bullshit jobs” as well as how they affect workers and companies were interesting.

Bullshit Jobs gave another lens through which one can view workplace dynamics and imbalances in power-

-David Graeber tackles in the first chapter: what is the Bullshit Jobs? and what is a good example of bullshit jobs and he wants to show the differences among partly, mostly, entirely and purely Bullshit Jobs?

? In the second chapter, the writer wants to discuss what sorts of Bullshit Jobs are these-

-While in the third chapter of the book “Bullshit Jobs discusses “Why Do Those in Bullshit Jobs Regularly Report Themselves Unhappy”?

-The fourth chapter talks about “What Is It Like to Have a Bullshit Job? and Why Having a Bullshit Job Is Not Always Necessarily That Bad?

-The fifth chapter: Why Are Bullshit Jobs Proliferating?

-You can know in the sixth chapter “Why Do We as a Society Not Object to the Growth of Pointless Employment?

-The last chapter tackles the point which is ” What Are the Political Effects of Bullshit Jobs, and Is There Anything That Can Be Done About This Situation?

“Quotes of the book Bullshit Jobs by the famous writer “David Graeber

 “This is not a book about a particular solution. It’s a book about a problem . . . I hesitate to make policy suggestions….”

“Why do so many people have to squeeze doing the things they love into their free time while spending grim hours under the fluorescent lights of an office doing pointless tasks?” (Alana Semuels, The New York Times.

“A subversive attack on the nature of work today … millions of workers around the world will instantly recognize the nonsense and inefficiency he describes’ Tom Upchurch, Wired

So what are these new jobs, precisely? A recent report comparing employment in the US between 1910 and 2000 gives us a clear picture (and I note, one pretty much exactly echoed in the UK). Over the course of the last century, the number of workers employed as domestic servants, in industry, and in the farm sector has collapsed dramatically.
